Manchurian

Although Manchurian is a chinese food but it is one of the most demanding street food in India. Because of its popularity in India it is available in every corner of India and in different varieties. Be it is gravy or dry or noodles manchurian and many more. It can be easily be prepared at home. So let's try two types of manchurian at home.

Ingredients:-
(For Manchurian Balls):-
  • 1 cup finely chopped Carrots and Beans
  • 1 cup finely chopped Cabbage
  • 1 tsp chopped Ginger
  • 1 tsp chopped Green Chillies
  • 1 big pinch crushed Pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Soya Sauce
  • 2 tsp Maida
  • 2 tsp Corn Flour
(For Gravy Manchurian):-
  • 2-3 dry Red Chilli
  • 1 tsp chopped Garlic
  • 1/2 cup chopped Red and Yellow Peppers
  • 1 tsp chopped Green Chilli
  • 1 tsp crushed Black Pepper
  • 1 pinch Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Handful chopped Coriander
  • 2 tsp Soya Sauce
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 tsp chopped Ginger
  • 1 tsp red Chilli Paste
  • 2 tsp diluted Corn Flour
(For Dry Manchurian):-
  • 2-3 dry Red Chilli
  • 1 tsp chopped Garlic
  • 1/2 cup chopped red and yellow Peppers
  • 1 tsp chopped Green Chilli
  • 1 tsp crushed Black Pepper
  • 1 pinch red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Handful chopped Coriander
  • 2 tsp Soya Sauce
  • 2 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 tsp chopped Ginger
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Paste
  • 2 tsp diluted Corn Flour.
Procedure:-
(For Gravy Manchurian):-
  • Now take some oil in a fresh hot pan.
  • Add dry red chilli and 1 tsp chopped garlic to it.
  • As soon as the garlic is roasting add some chopped red and yellow peppers.
  • Then add water.
  • Now add 1 tsp chopped green chilli, 1 tsp crushed black pepper, a pinch of red chilli powder, salt to taste, handful chopped coriander, 2 tsp dark soya sauce, 1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp chopped ginger. Mix it up nicely and add the manchurian fried balls into this.
  • Add 1 tsp of red chilli paste. Mix it well. 
  • Now add 2 tsp diluted corn flour to it and keep stirring.
  • Add some more chopped coriander for finishing and our gravy is ready. 
  • Plate it in a bowl and serve.

(For Dry Manchurian):-
  • Similarly add dry red chilli and garlic. Saute them.
  • Now add red and yellow peppers at the same time.
  • Now add 1 tsp red chilli paste and very little water. Toss everything together. 
  • Then add chopped ginger, handful chopped coriander, chopped green chilli, a pinch of black pepper, a pinch of red chilli powder and salt to taste. 
  • Now add very little water just to make a sauce to soak the manchurian balls in.
  • Now add 2 tsp soya sauce, 2 tsp vinegar.
  • Now add manchurian balls to this. 
  • Now add 2 tsp of diluted corn flour. 
  • Toss and stir well.
  • Dry manchurian is also ready. Plate it and serve it hot.
